Editing

I know! I know! Eddie looks totally wasted in the pic at the top of this blog. But I love the red dress Ruby is wearing. She wore it twice before she got too big for it. Sad!

We had a blast taking these pictures. Thank you, Stephanie Keller!

I think Ruby may have been passing gas in this picture. She learned that from her father. Or maybe her Grandpa John. Either way, she is real good at "fluffing".

I have yet to take a shower. It's almost 4:30 in the afternoon. I have been looking for jobs online. Being a stay-at-home Mom has its advantages, but I sure do get bored.

I am slowly building a friendship with a sweet girl from church. Her name is Tracy. Her and her husband, Matt, have a two year old and a six month old. Eli, their son, was born about a week after Ruby. Their little girl, Nadya, is so precious! She loves Ruby! We walked into church and Nadya came right over to sit with us and to see Ruby. I am looking forward to hanging out with this cute family more often!

Ed and I both have been "fighting" a cold. We both felt like we were hit by a freight train yesterday. Ya know how your body aches and you can't seem to muster up the energy to get out of bed? Yeah, that's how we both have been feeling. I hope Ruby doesn't catch whatever it is we have.

I have a whole cake leftover from Ed's birthday. Please, anyone!!!! Come visit us and help us eat this cake!

Birthday Bliss

Phew! What a day! Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity. I got up at 6:30 to make Ed's birthday cake. And then, I went to my first MOPS (Mothers Of Pre Schoolers) meeting with my friend Tracy.
And then, I went to the store to get decorations for the cake. And then, I came home to decorate the cake and to make a fabulous birthday feast!

And boy was it delish! Home-made mac n' cheese with bacon. Mmmmm...... And home-made ice cream. We had way too much food. And it was just the three of us to celebrate Ed's birthday. We sure do miss our family and friends back home.

The Real Housewife of My Husband

I have officialy become a "Housewife". And I mean an actual real housewife who scrubs my own toilet and makes myself lunch. I didn't realize it was 4 o'clock and still needed to take a shower. So I hurried in the shower, an oddity, so that I could have dinner somewhat ready by the time Eddie got home. I still had to go grocery shopping after dinner. It was nice to go to the store without having to lug Ruby in and out of the car and the cart. But I got everyting for Eddie's homemade birthday dinner and cake. I just finished the ice cream. It is sooooo delish! Just plain vanilla with chunks of oreo ball dough and andes mint crumbs. Mmmmmmmmm!!!!! The cake is being baked tomorrow morning. Eddie requested chocolate cake with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting. That's what he's going to get. We'll see if the cake stays together. Otherewise, we'll have a famous "earthquake cake". (Ask my mother)

Ruby had mashed potatos for the first time today. She loves them! She loves any kind of solid food. She gets used to us putting the food into her mouth. Its pretty cute. Of course its cute!

Eddie just gave Tater a bath and now she is running around the house like crazy. Poor dog needs a friend.

So that's my real housewife story of the day. I just want to make sure all of the other real housewives aren't alone in the toilet scrubbing,
Peace out!

Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Every time I start to blog, I feel like I'm writing in my diary......... "I saw HIM today. He is sooooooooo cute!" Hahahaha! I think that's why I hated diaries and journals. Plus, I remember asking my mom for a "diarrhea" when I was like, what 5? And the lady in the store was laughing at me and I was so embarrassed. So I never wanted one after that.

So, Sunday, Bloody Sunday. Ed and I played Gin Rummy all day. Well, after we went to church and then watched Utah church online. It was awesome! Going to church twice, that is. I told Ed that I really just want to listen to Steve and Pastor. And then I wave at everybody, even though they can't see me.

And now for Ruby News.......
Ruby has figured out how to move her head. She shakes her head back and forth, like she's saying "no". It is soooooooo cute! But sometimes she shakes it too hard and she makes herself dizzy. She'll sit there staring off with this surprised look on her face. Hehe! I think to myself "What is wrong with my child? Why is she so crazy?".  And then I remember that I'm her mother. Duh. Ruby also loves Tater. We play this game where we chase Tater around the house. Ruby laughs and laughs. Both her and Tater love to play the game. Its pretty funny. In fact, here's the video......

We got to visit with some of the Duncan family this weekend. Zeke and Zander are pretty much my favorite little guys! Oh man! They are crazy funny! And the cutest little turds when they smile and talk. We also got to see Great Grandma DD and Papa Boyd on Skype. I sure do miss them. I was talking to Ed about them and how much fun we always had with them. Jess and I would eat all the cheese off of Grandpa's nachos. Ha! And Grandma would ALWAYS play any game with us. I am sure both Ed's folks and mine will be awesome Grandparents. If only Em and Jess would jump on the wagon here. (hint hint)
Well, peace out for now.

The Beginning

Hi! It's Jenny. Of course it's Jenny. We all know Ed would never BLOG! Anywho......I decided to take up blogging to keep me busy. I got tired of searching for jobs online. Who wants to work when you can blog?!?! I am not quite sure what to think of "blogging". It seems like I'm talking to no one. So I am very happy that you are reading this right now.
This is my first time, so I'm not quite sure how to start. How about you just close your eyes and imagine knocking on our front door. You'll hear a few barks from Tater and then Eddie yelling at her to shhhhhh!!!!! A few loud bounds down the steps, before a creak of the front door. And there we are, meeting you face to face! Hello! How are ya? Come on in! Take off your coat. Would you like some coffee? Oh, we are doing great. Let me tell you..........

And that is how our blog begins.I hope it's entertaining enough to keep you coming back. I'm sure there will be many changes made within the first few weeks. And hopefully, a lot of fun posts! See ya back here later!
